An ugly name for an ugly vessel, but if you want to cross the Pieman River at Corinna on Tasmania's west coast, this is the only way to go.The barge holds 2 cars and at $20 per vehicle for the 5 minute crossing, it is a nice little earner for the operator. The instructions for how to get on the barge are a classic example of Aussie humor.

I love the Aussie humor! I think the price is well worth admission. I wonder if they allow pedestrians. Looks like an interesting ride with much scenery along the way.

These pictures certainly tell a story, Frank. A great collage. I'm not too sure I'd want to be stranded in Corinna.

A very deep thinker made those instructions. LOL. Not exactly a Gambling Ferry, but it works.

And to think that 200 years ago, even 100 years ago, this was the way to get across a body of water, assuming your horse(s) were agreeable to the prospect. I like the grafitti on the sign and the satelite dish on the barge. I suppose that even at $20 a crossing this job can have some slow times. Fun post.
