After being knocked over 4 nights in a row by the possums, my slipper orchid has finally flowered.

Ohhhhhhhhh my goodness Frank! This is absolutely gorgeous! I've always loved these orchids. And they grown in your yard??!! What a wonderful thing to have there. This absolute make me gasp with happiness when I saw it! Such loveliness. The colours are just fantastic and you've captured the whole thing perfectly. This is lovely! When I was little, my dad took up orchid raising as a hobby and he had several of these. He told they were called Lady Slipper orchids, which I always thought was such a pretty name.
