Built in 1870 at a cost of 3,700 pounds, to replace a previous building destroyed by fire, this building stands in the centre of the Victorian town of Beechworth. The town was founded as the result of gold being discovered in 1852. By 1867 over 8,000 miners had flocked to the gold fields and in excess of 4 million ounzes of gold had been recovered.

That's a gorgeous building. It looks relatively new. Hard to believe it was built in 1870. They take great care of it. Beautiful shot, Frank.
