Boy - they are goofy looking birds but this is a great close up.

I like the closeup very much Frank. It does resemble Burl Ives a bit. :)

This really is an excellent photo. Great clarity on the Pelican and the blurred background sets it off perfectly.
Also it had an added ingredient - it makes me smile and that is a big bonus. I think your hot tin roof title is great!
I know it is just doing what pelicans do but it does look very comical.
