I loved the colour and texture of the trunks of these eucalypts in a park at Crystal Brook South Australia.

A real Aussie icon and you have made a lovely capture here.making good use of light and shadow.
It makes a very nice desktop image.
I love the way the bark peels off to create such interesting variations of colour.
I remember singing the song way back in schooldays 'Kookaburra sits in an old gum tree . . . "
So where are they Frank ? LOL

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I think trees look cool when they have been "skinned" Frank. Beautiful patterns they create.

I knew this was yours from the thumbnail! I love it. It forms a near abstract and I'd have a difficult time not playing more with it...maybe picking out the best, neutralizing the background, and....ah... maybe that would be satisfactorily linear, maybe not! But I do love it just as it is. Good eye!
