The township of Cook on the Adelaide Perth rail line is now only a whistle stop and refueling point for the Indian Pacific as it crosses the Nullabor Plain. Formerly a busy rail town, it now has a permanent population of 4. These were the original jail cells. Fortunately, they were only used as holding cells until the next train came through. With temperatures frequently exceeding 40C, a long stay would not be enjoyable.

At first I thought you meant that the cooks were thrown in jail if the food was bad. LOL. Pretty cool shot, Frank. I wouldn't want to spend much time in one of those, though.

I also wouldn't want to be in there as I know 40C translates to 104F and that's way too hot!
