These church pews are located in St Barnabas Anglican Church on Norfolk Island. They are made from Norfolk Island pine and inlaid with mother of pearl. Completed in 1880, the church was the headquarters of the Melanesian Mission where young men from the Pacific Islands were trained to spread the Christian message on their home islands. The door is never locked, but you are asked to close the door as you leave to keep out the birds.
