...and now if we turn our attention away from the 'Urbis', you will see the area of Manchester known as 'The Triangle'. The building in the distance, called 'The Printworks' stands just to the right of the 'Urbis' which is out of sight behind the building on the left. 'The Printworks' ( http://www.theprintworks.com/ ) houses 20 different venues - cinemas, bars including Hardrock Cafe, shops, nightclubs, spa, casino, restaurants - this whole area is buzzing with life daytime and nighttime. Down the centre of the picture is a water feature which starts in the distance behind the little girl, where there are three huge taps pumping out water. There is a large TV screen on the building on the left and on the right there is seating sweeping around in an arch which you can see on my next picture. :)

It looks like a jigsaw puzzle in the middle of the street Patti. Great capture you've got here. I like the treatment they give the water features there. Nicely done. Anita

I love the scene and it is so clear. At first, I thought it was a picture from Wells. The streets are similar through out Britain. I like this a lot.

Patti:

I like the way our eye is drawn towards the center of the photo towards Printworks. This is a "Mall" over here. Very well done. Thanks

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

Very nice. Manchester looks like such a cool place but I'm mad at them. United let Ruud Van Nistelrooy go to Madrid.

You bagged this one too. Love the lines. They are not dull but exciting and cause the viewer to do a lot of exploring. How big is Manchester? Looks like a fair sized city. Good work, Patti.

I like the look of the structure that goes up the middle of the image. I like the triangular Sculpture in the front of the building and the natural feel of the poeple walking around. Great work

i'll save this to show my daughter, we travel up from newquay a lot and always go to the printworks, she insists on walking on those stones no matter what the weather, enjoyed looking at the rest also, being a Salford lad i remember crossing Trafford Bridge to go to Old Trafford over many a decade. Great photo's
