...today I am posting two photographs from my trip to Canada in May - location is Drumheller Valley in Alberta - home of the Hoodoos. The Atlas Coal Mines are located just a short distance from the Hoodoos - the mines were preserved as an historic site after they were closed in 1984.

Well, I saw the second picture first, and followed your thread to the mine site and found some fascinating history and pics on it. What an interesting part of Canada this is. Thanks for sharing this with us :)PJ

I like your angle on this Patti! I dint even notice the mine up on the hill when I first saw it! Wonder what that contraption is in the foreground with wheels? Interesting shot! I like the way you showed us this! ~Dan'l

You keep making me think you got that new camera you were talking about getting. Did you? This is really good and I like the perspective. You managed to get a little bit of everything in the composition. Very nice. No need to reply.

this is a nice photograph of the area and I love the clarity of the image. I too like the look of the canon thingy in the foreground of the image. Great work

Nice capture but a strange canon.... there is a little barn in the middle, is that part of the museum?

I like the way this looks as though the building in the foreground is in rich vibrant colors and the background with the hills looks as though it's almost in B&W Patti. Thanks for your description of this place. Sounds very interesting.
