.....and surprise, surprise I am back in the UK taking photos today - and capturing some beautiful late autumn colours and when I checked this one out at home, just look who was hiding under the tree! lol!

not by accident Jasper, I planned it today. When I was at work yesterday, I noticed just how pretty everything looked at 3.30pm out of my office window, so decided I must make sure I was out to photograph the trees today at the same time. ;) - now I have to keep doing some mental maths and taking off several minutes every day! lol! Patti

Only the shadow knows...when to take a great pic, even if you do have to exercise the old grey matter on the times of the disappearing sun. This is very warm and inviting, and if I could just stop looking at your shadow I'd enjoy the picture even more..lol...great shot :)PJ

Fantastic composition Patti, I love the scene itself but to have your shadow placed so perfectly on the tree just makes it a bit more special.

Patti, after all those clever comments, what can I say - but you have a photogenic shadow :) Is this your backyard..if so, lucky you! The shadow tree is bursting with the last fling of fall & the trees in the background are lovely too. Nice barbed wire fence which goes quite aways in the distance. And that sky is showing its beauty too. But the true beauty is your shadow :*))
