....and just a short walk today (because I have a virus, say awww!) - this Country Park is situated right in the centre of Stockport town and hidden - even some of the local people do not know of its existence and it is just a 10 min ride in my car to here. soooo....this is the route - down the right hand side, under the viaduct arches and back up the left hand side! lol! I was going to venture over a bridge to my right and walk right into the park but the heavens opened and I got soaked and I hate rain, so back to the car and home again. Hope you enjoyed the brief visit - a couple more photos taken on my walk around the lake which I will post later :)

Awww!. I do hope you feel better quickly Patti. Thank you so much for sharing this. It may be unknown to some of the locals but it certainly doesn't apply to all the birds that are here enjoying it. Such a pretty place and looks idealic for a nice walk in the afternoon. ( minus the rain of course! ) Nicely done.

Well, I do hope youn feel better. Shame on you for leaving these ducks and geese with a virus. The interaction going on among these animals is sort of comical. The set of geese on the far right-one seems to be yelling at the other (they must be married).
Another goose has spotted you and has his neck craned up over the embankment. All in all, that is quite a flock.
Good capture.

Awww! Please take care of yourself, so you will soon do better. The picture is very nice. I like that bridge and all those birds there. I am sure, if the weather is better, this is a very nice and romantic walk.

Wonderful image Patti of both the birds and the viaduct. I hope you get well soon and don't go out in the cold air too much on our account.

Cough cough snif sniff, so THATS where I caught it from!! Comiserations Patti. I have a broken toe as well as the dreaded virus lurgy:) which some seem to think is quite comical. Actually it is much better but I'm not letting on yet. I shall limp a few more days.

Now your picture - it is lovely - I do love those viaducts, always so graceful. The birds in flight add a nice bit of movement, and the winter colours are so nice, can feel the chill.
Take care and get better soon.

It is very nice with the bridge and all that, but there are to many birds in this one Patty. They give the eye no rest, and you do not know where to look first.
I have seen better ones from you, although this one is not to bad !
