.......a similar photograph to one I posted last week, but from a slightly different angle. The colours of the landscape are exceptional at this time of year with some of the grasses turning orange and the heather covering large areas of the hills! To stand and look and feel the beauty of this landscape is an amazing feeling, but to be able to capture that landscape to remind you is a real reward - we are lucky as photographers to be able to do that! Photograph - from Hen Cloud looking over the Staffordshire countryside.

Wow! I've never been to Staffordshire, but it looks like I really must. Great shot, Patti, full of rich colours and interesting textures.

For the colors and the farm alone it's worth it, but I loved this vista the first time around and with this slightly different angle, I love this view too!! :)

You're correct about the remarkable colors. Like the feeling of distance I get in this one. You are indeed fortunate to live in such surroundings.

G'day Patti,
Forgive me for my presumption if the choice was a deliberate one. :) But isn't the horizon normally level? You have colours and textures, of both land and light, captured really well. Loved it.

Drove through Staffordshire yesterday, but didn't get to see any nice views like that from the M6. A very nice shot and proof that this country is still beautiful in places (but not here in Southend). I'm going to post one of my pics of the the Lake district soon and prove it more!
