And she (why she?) is looking at you thinking "I wish you would get out of my face, woman!" Very sharp and clear, Patti and the colors of the rock and the mantis work very well together. Nice -

Great photo. It really needs to be seen full screen. I hope there are no hungry birds close, or dinner plans might change. Might become the guest as opposed to the host. Two colors, mantis and rock, work good together.

LOL! Patti! You evil thing you!! I just love praying mantises, although I found out the hard way they have a very nasty little bite. Don't try to hold one on your finger, that for sure. LOL! =)

My favorite, a mantis! It's such a clear closeup, and with that beautiful lighting and composition, she looks like she's rising at the beginning of time. :)

Sometimes I wish I were a preying mantis and not a phasmid, but somebody's got to do the behind-the-scenes' job, and we're the work horses..I haven't seen one phasmid on here but me..not even a snapshot..lol.. Very cute shot, Patti. Great dialogue!!

Quite apart from the praying mantis, the colours and textures you've got in this are just brilliant. The cream of the wall and that blue are real mediterranean shades. As for the bug she really does look hungry - I think she was sizing you up. Or thinking what's that mad woman doing crawling about on the floor...
