.....and if you were a poacher in the last century then that is what you would be - locked up in the folly on the hill at Lyme Park, known as 'the Cage' LOL! ... for that very reason. ....a different view from the one I posted a few weeks ago here ...and look we have snow!! - that is about as deep as it gets around here! :)

Both photos are very good. I think this one displays more of the harshness for being locked away. The positioning and the long steep walk make the punishment seem more severe. Very good Patti and the snow adds to the theme of this scene.

That is very pretty. Bob posted one with some snow in it also. I have a message for both of you: GET RID OF IT before I come over there. Ha! Great work.

Oooh Patti it looks such a bleak and lonely place to be locked up in - especially in he cold.

A picture full of feeling, well done.

Deeper than we got here, although we did have some blustery weather. I guess you used a wide angle on this, I love the way it looks like a doll's house in the distance. In fact I like this one a lot, especially that break in the clouds that echoes the angle of the hill. A place for OB maybe if he gets out of control in Bradford?

Hi Fogz, the isolated building seems fitting to house poachers. With the windows, they can view the game around the building and safe from them. I see an antenna on the roof which means these criminals will not have cable to view!! Maybe this is a too cruel and unusal punishment. Sorry, an American concept. Great picture.

They are both great shots. I wouldn't have thought of the structure as a lodge however. When I first saw it I thought of a giant howling dog, a deer stalker hat, and lanterns in the fog. In other words, more mysterious, more sherlockian. So I downloaded both and removed the people and the flagpole, and also lightened the structure in the evening shot. Hope you don't mind me messin' with your craft.
