....and you might well remember this pathway which I walked just a few weeks ago here! - I think I have a love of trees! lol! The landscape looks so pretty covered in snow - you can see for miles from here in Cheshire right over to Derbyshire in the distance. Photograph taken in Lyme Park.

I really like how the yellow grasses contrast against the white snow...I also like the angle and perspective on this one more than the other..it's got that "endless" feel to it.

Come, my friends, 'tis not too late to seek a new world. Push off, and sitting well in order smite the sounding furrows; for my purpose holds to sail beyond the sunset, and the baths of all western stars, Until I die. Tennyson, "Ulysses"

I detect bicycle tracks in the snow which shows foot traffic is not the only means of enjoying this landscape. I love the coloring of the bare branched trees in this shot Patti. Very nice work.

Great 'scape again Patti and it truly looks made for a walk! Composition with the trees works well for me and snow always adds that bit of fairy dust to a shot. Gortex weather though Brrr! Tommy

Click here to see WHITBY through the lens of Frank Meadow Sutcliffe! PS I have no commercial link but Sutcliffe's photographs are historical! and any photographer worth his salt should at least know the history of their subject. He is one of the reasons I consider myself lacking, by the way. TG

You asked once if Chris and I were hiking again - No, because of the cold weather - So looking at your image I can only say, you are very, very brave.

We had in Holland a white Easter instead of a white Christmas Patti. Watching your image, think you had in England similar weather conditions. The advantage of this weather is that one can make beautiful images, and you did!
