....here I am standing on top of Mam Tor in Derbyshire, 1700 feet high and slightly out of breath but it was well worth the effort to see the view across Hope Valley and Edale ...this view is of what is known as 'the Ridge' and 'Lose Hill'. If you are energetic enough, you can continue on following the path along 'the Ridge and over the hill and eventually you will come to a pub! lol! you knew it! ...well what an incentive! :) ...photograph taken today at midday.

Very good Patti. This is what you do so well. The expanse photo showing the countryside. You are almost a glider unto yourself. I love the farmhouse and buildings nestled against the hillside. Good post.

You've definitely shown me a side of your country that I never knew existed. As PatAndre said at one point, it's not as crowded as I thought it would be.

Another fine landscape from your eyes to ours!

It's like a skin stretched over a limb, with the paths as veins and sinews. I like the sunlight too, and the perspective - the escarpment (it is one of those isn't it?) makes a really nice angle with the frame. I think I'll sit and look a while longer, keep my pint in the tap please, I don't want it getting warm.
