In the centre of Marrakech there are many beautiful gardens. I visited the Majorelle Gardens while I was there - it is like an oasis in a desert - beautiful flowers from all over the World and wonderful landscaping. The gardens were the work of Jacques Majorelle (1886-1962) who moved to Marrakesh from France to work on his paintings. The vivid blue colour that covers the buildings and garden accessories was first used in the early 1930's and is known as Bleu Majorelle. The contrast of the blue against the green plants is really lovely. Following the death of Majorelle, the property was bought by Yves St Laurent. Majorelle's former painting studio now houses the Museum of Islamic Art within the landscaped gardens.

This is a SERIOUSLY magnificant image.
Totally stunning photograph and manipulation!!

I'm not fond of the blue framing of this increbible image, but the Actual image itself is definately a 10++!

I just can't say enough about this image. The focus, the manip, the lighting....Complete WOW! I wish I would get this in the voting booth. It's a standup 10, and anybody that don't see that...well...don't worry about it. :-)

Could I have permission to "play" with this image? NOT the Image...just the presentation?

Faved before I EVEN wrote this. Truly stunning!! :-)

This one is especially pretty Patti with the flowing vines over the delicate artwork :) I love the bit of dappled light you captured and the simplicity of the color pallette (such wonderful color!) really works here. Your presentation of these is fantastic :))) Love your framing!
