.....the very grand Grand Hotel in Lund Sweden. I was lucky enough to stay here last week when I was in Lund attending a meeting. Unfortunately, I had no time to take any photographs other than the hotel and people photos - in fact I don't think I saw any daylight! lol! It was a good experience though. :)

I bet this was a neat stay Patti. Too bad you didn't have a chance to get some more shots of the area. But your image here is another well taken shot. I like the color captures and lighting. =^..^=Sandi

The reflection intrigues me as well Patti. I thought those were icycles hanging there but now I think they might be some sort of decoration. If they are icycles, I wouldn't want to be standing underneath one when it fell.

I like the framing and the way you have lit the scene with the natural light from the Hotel. Grand post.

Many thanks for all the comments. The reflection is added as part of the framing. Just copy the bottom half of your image, paste as a new layer, flip it vertically, increase your canvas and move it down to the bottom of the image. Use the transform/skew to stretch the reflection and then change the opacity. I made the canvas black, and added a very thin outer glow around the image so it did not all merge into one. No tutorial followed, just playing around with settings. :)

Capturing a good night shot isn't that easy. Like to say that you've succeeded very well in doing this Patti as this is a perfect one. Love the atmosphere, caused by the blue light, too.

How nice to see a photo taken by you from my country! s0050463 is right, there isn´t much daylight here this time of year :-) This is a beautiful and very well taken photo of the hotel though. I hope you can come back to Sweden and see more of the country, in daylight, some other time :-).

There probably wasn't much daylight to see Patti. I hope your meeting went well, I remember you saying you were going but I haven't asked what it was like. This one's interesting, sort of Batman mysterious.
