Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone. Please pause for just a moment to thank the men, women, and yes, even some animals that have died so that we may enjoy our freedom.

Dearest Eileen.
This memorial day. I emphasized with my 2 boys ages 6 and 10. The true meaning behind memorial day and what it stood for. Thanks to this photography I was able to show them. You have captured the fallen well. Honored with flags. I would like to put this into my favorites.
Thanks Eileen.

Very nice, Eileen! We passed a huge cemetary today and all the tiny flags were a pretty and very bittersweet sight...

A great image for Memorial Day Eileen. The tombstones represent the price we paid for our freedoms. Let us hope & pray we dont add many more before all our service people are home again! Thanks for sharing a well taken but somber image my friend! ~Dan

Great shot, Eileen! A good desktop for your memorial Day. The line of stones angling off to the left adds a great perspective.

Thank you Eileen for the reminder that some must die so that others can live in freedom. Quite a sacrifice. You have captured the National Cemetery with the grace and dignity hat it deserves. All the flags at the headstones never fail to give me chills. My dad served in WW II. Again, thank you for the reminder.
Thank you also for the words you left on ~solitude~. Everything just sort of came together here. The staff watered, Mother Nature gave the shaft of light and I shot the camera. Together we were able to give you this image. Glad that you enjoyed it! Your support is deeply appreciated :~)

Just a word of thanks from a very proud sister of a veteran who fought in Vietnam and a proud daughter of a veteran who fought in World War II. It's nice to see that someone remembers the brave men and women you have fought to keep our country free and also those who gave their life for other countries' freedom. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for his wonderful honor.
