These lovelies were growing at the office of Dr. Jameson in Charleston. I just couldn't resist taking this photo. I thought they were so beautiful and I especially liked the feathery look they have. Thanks to all who view and wish to leave a comment.

Very pretty Eileeen! Fantastic colors on the good Dr.'s flowers! Good job on the focus on the bloom leaving the background blurred. They stand out real well! I can see why you wanted this shot! C):-)

Eileen, the composition is so pleasing here and I like your presentation. There's nice room on each side for icons. Those are beautiful orchids and I like that you let the one of the right be slightly out of range of focus. The only thing I would do (and it's just me), is to add a bit of drop shadow to the main photo so it falls onto the white border. This may make the photo come out a bit from the white. Very nice indeed! - Patty

Beautiful Eileen! I love orchids - I had some in a plant pot next to my desk - a smaller variety, and they lasted for three months!!! incredible! I don't blame you for taking a photograph of these flowers - they make wonderful macro images. The focus on the front flower is fantastic - so sharp and shows all the detail - makes a lovely desktop. well done my friend. Patti

A beautiful capture of these lovely orchids Eileen. So nicely presented & the framing is perfect. I can see why they caught your eye ... the soft white accented with yellow & the violet center is just stunning. Makes a wonderful desktop also. Thank you for sharing.

These are beautiful flowers! The colors really compliment eachother and your right: they do have a feathery look about them.God created a gorgeous flower. Great job capturing God's handywork!

Ephesians 2: 8 & 9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Why did Jesus have to die on the cross if all it took was good works to get to heaven? And if you had to earn salvation it wouldn't be a gift, it would be a wage. Questions about Jesus? Send me a personal message.

Most unusual irises. I like the matting and the border that highly complement the flowers.

What a finding, Eileen. I wish the second orchid was better focused. Still the capture is so warm and subtle. You know how to please our hungry eyes.
