Even though I won't be enjoying the sight of snow out my window on Christmas day, I do have the pleasure of seeing the Narcissus blooming in my back yard. They certainly give the mundane colors of winter a little boost with their color and smell. Not the white Christmas I was hoping for but I'll gladly accept these. Thanks for your views and comments everyone.

Well, that's a welcome change from snow and ice. why not? It will make us look forward to spring. This will be as white as it will git for Christmas where I live. Ha!

Very nice Eileen!! I would take these for a white Xmas too! A real beauty of a shot my friend. They are so perfectly clear and stand out so well from the background. They appear to be almost in 3-D! It's the next best thing to being there in person admiring them! Great job Eileen! C):-)x *

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Very nice capture ot these blooms, Eileen! I really like how they stand out on the darker background, and there is just the right amount of DOF, IMHO. Just enough to have some detail without distracting from the subject(s). Well done!

Hello Eileen, just saw this on the 'featured images' spot and had to comment. What a lovely delicate portrait of the harbingers of spring. Very sharp, uncluttered and simply posed. Wonderful. Also lucky you in having them out now - we have a couple of months to wait for the first in my part of England!
Cheers,
Steve.
