This Swallowtail visits my Butterfly bushes on a daily basis and I always look forward to seeing her. Taken just as she was about to take flight. I really liked the way the sun made the blue in her wings shimmer making her appear even more beautiful. Thanks everyone for your views.

Truly exquisite. I'll have to remember this butterfly bush idea. I think my garden is going to look a lot different next year between attracting the butterflies and the hummingbirds and maybe a cardinal and perhaps an oriole? Wish me some of your good luck :)

You didn't have to delete ... The name didn't detract from the image one little bit!
It's still a great capture!

Gorgeous butterfly post, Eileen. Everything couldn't be any clearer and the butterfly looks perfect and unblemished.

Really a great image, Eileen. She's quite specatcular with the wings fully extended. One question though - how do you know it's a girl? ;)

Nice capture of the swallow tail The wings do look gorgeous. Technically this shot looks a trifle over sharpened.
