This has been sitting in my files for about a month now deciding how to salvage it. I really like this shot of this lone Egret among the ducks but, with it being on the other side of the lake my poor little camera did the best it could zooming in. I gave it a watercolor effect in hopes of it being a fairly decent post to share here. Hope you think so and thanks for your views and comments.

I personally like this. I can't tell whether it's taking off or landing. I like that about it. The ducks seem to care less, but that's pretty much a ducks attitude. I like the far away look, gives it a natural feel like what happens when you approach them. All in all, I'm glad you posted this.

Boy there are so many times that I wished I had a longer zoom! Well, it wouldn't be smart not to take the shot anyway and I really like the water color filter a lot.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Excellent shot and the egret is nicely still the center of attention! Beautiful scenery and water really makes a nice plus for this one too Eileen! Way to go! C):-)

It still looks good even though it is far off, well worth posting. I took one just like this a few days ago, thought it was to far away for a post, maybe I will post it tonight. These are beautiful birds. Nice work Eileen.

It's a lovely painting effect you've given it and I'm glad you decided to post it. Sometimes we get too caught up in every little feather and I'm actually preaching to myself here!!

Glad you posted this one, Eileen! Great job of salvaging it too! It could be framed as a painting! Well done!
