A black swan enjoying the shade of this cypress tree this past spring at Swan Lake in Sumter SC. This is a wonderful place for families to spend the day feeding ducks, swans and other wildlife that call this place home and just enjoying the tranquility here.

Wonderful greens and nice lighting. It does appear to be very serene surroundings. I don't often get to see a black swan. Very pretty, Eileen.

A lovely capture Eileen ... I love the reflections & lighting on the lake. The colors are beautiful. I've never seen a black swan in person, so this is a treat for me. Very well done.

I think this an excellent image. Eileen the beautiful black swan kind of comes off as a silhouette but yet you can see some of the detail and the waviness in his coat. I think this is such a lovely and well composed image. I have seen a black swan once or twice and that is it. Thanks for sharing this lovely image with us and such a unique bird. sandi♥

Excellent shot Eileen. I love the whole scene with the shadows and the swan looks like a silhouette. The reflections make the water sparkle. Good post.

Excellent framing of this peaceful scene, Eileen. That is one "lucky duck" - er - swan to be swimming amoung what I assume are cyprus trees. Beautiful shot -

Titus 3:5-7, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6: Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7: That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Why did Jesus Christ have to die on the cross if all it took was good works to get to heaven? It is THROUGH Jesus Christ's blood that He saved us from Hell. If we could get to heaven on our own then Jesus Christ would've had to die again and again. If you ANY questions please pm me.
