This image is dedicated to Regmar. His eagle eye discovered a small flaw in one of my earlier Antelope Canyon posts. After discussing it through PM"s it was decided to let it stand. My humble thanks to Regmar for being so observant. Which post? I'll never tell. As you travel throuhg this place of wonder, it becomes clear why the Navajo consider this a holy place. Please remember that all of these images were made with natural light filtering down from above.

Bob this is another splendid capture. How you got the exposure right is a mystery to me, but it's spot-on. What's amazing is that the ambient lighting is so low that you needed a flashlight to find your way, yet these images look bright as day. Likewise the contrast between the foreground lighting and the background lighting makes the differences between the colors and striations even more vivid. To polish it off the white sand makes a further contrast that anchors the image.

Makes me want to be a Navajo! How is it, is this place actually open for tourist, or is admission restricted? Again, dazzling beauty! I stand in awe.

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...

Anyone else see a face in profile on the left side, and another lower down on the right? Maybe it's just me. All done with natural light, eh? Even more amazing, then, given my coment on the first image. I must visit this place for myself one day.

This is another stunning image Bob. Is this taken with a medium format camera? The exposure and colors are very beautiful. If I ever get another road trip out west, I will deffinately have to seek out this place. Great job and a 10 from me.

I want to be there Bob. What beauty you have captured that was created by something so much greater than oursleves! The striations in the rocks are prominently displayed by the light that you captured filtering thru the canyon walls. I know how dark these palces are...we were waiting for the last tram in Zion canyon and when night fell, well, it was with a boom! I have great respect for the canyons of the Indians being one myself. I can hear their music now........awesome Bob, thank you :))

The location is obviously stunning, but the camerawork makes this image. 10/10 from me also. Would be interesting to see on a lighter coloured background, but what do I know? Look forward to seeing more like this.
