There is a mountain chain that is a part of the Rocky Mountains. This Range contains many of the mountains in Colorado that are over 14,000 feet, (4,267 meters). These "fourteener's" are named after some of the colleges here in the U.S. This one is my favorite and I have been photographing it for many years. Mount Princeton is the largest of the Collegiate Peaks.

Is this really a place on earth?
Wooow.
Robert, this is just the kind of photography that carries your signature and which I have come to enjoy so much. Thanks, and you can post a million more of these shots.
They will all fit comfortably into my favourites!

I've been by there any number of times (to-from Santa Fe) but have never seen it quite so beautiful. Thank you, Bob, for opening my eyes a bit wider!

Oh my, what a sight!...you seem to be able to pack so much into your photos, Robert...so much to look at, I could sit and look at it indefinitely...a lovely array of color, an interesting assortment of trees and plants, a mixture in the lay of the land and to top it all off a lovely blue sky...on my desktop to dream over.:Pat.

Hi Robert
Wow....like Pauls reaction, to me too its hard to imagine that this is reality.
This composition is oustanding, all the elements of color and depth are in it.
I just can hope for myself that I will be able to see these mountains once before I die.
This just looks like heaven to me.

Oh to be able to have and hold such beauty on this earth...what a priviledge it is for all of us. With all the turmoil in this world..its such a gift that we still have such beautiful scenes as this one Robert! I have never forgotten when I went thru Colorado on the way to Oregon...to move here..and I did live in Denver for a while...the Rockies have their own fantastic beauty...and now I get to see them all the way up here in Montana...along with the Grand Tetons...have you seen them? if not, then you must come up and take tons of your wonderful photos sometime..this image of yours warms my heart....I can feel myself sitting there on a log enjoying the solitude..thank you my friend.

I really love this. I think the orangish yellow of the trees remind me of rust. and that makes it feel somewhat rugged. that combined with the ruggedness of the brush on the hills behind and the mountains too. I love this photo.

A way to improve the photo( in my opinion): i think if you made the 1/3 rule apply here with the ground and sky , it would look awesome.
