Today is is going to reach 101 degrees (38.33C) in Denver. On days like this I long for the Rocky Mountains. My son is arriving tomorrow (Sunday) I think that we will head for the cooler altitudes as soon as he arrives. Latest report from our cabin area was; mornings 38 degrees(3.33C) , late afternoons 72(22.22). See yoiu in about a week.

I can't get over...snow already. How high up is this? It is beautiful and the leaves have turned already. This is stateside, right? At any rate, what a capture. It's a keeper.

Dear Robert,
I feel quite certain that whatever and however humble your cabin is there will be enough room for me and my little baby Boris the dog [the best animal indoors ! outdoors is another thing.... ].
I would like to justify my most daring request by the following circumstances:
1. the heat here in Szczecin, Poland is unbearable although still within 27-35 degrees Centigrade
2. the same heat is more unbearable for my baby Boris because he cannot undress ...
3. we both love cold [=colder] climates
Trusting in your sympathy and compassionate attitude,
we remain with
lots of love and laughter,
Yours
M & B

THis is an excellent picture. Colorful and dramatic. It is nice to have a place to go to in nature away from the city.

g'day Mr/Mrs CF,

thanks for the desktop, our 93 days and 77 nights don't quite compare with where you're headed, so I'm a little envious..Enjoy that son and the weather!

Great image! I love the winding road. The forground and mid-ground offer such a great contrast to the mountains in the background. I wish the mountains weren't quite so washed out in the upper right corner. Other than that, well done!

Boy ain't this a winner? Gorgeous tree colors, Evergreens straight ahead and a road leading toward snow-capped mountains. What's not to like? Great picture Robert, just great!

Dear Robert, altho I lost most of your photos in my move and my old computer. I have a few still. This one I don't have and now will add to the file of your beautiful photography. I'm enjoying going thru your gallery again. I just wish so much you were able to post a few new photos. The majesty of the mountain and the wonderful Fall colours along with the shadows is so gorgeous. Much love. Verena
