Interesting ... and I mean that in a good way ... presentation of this species' filaments.
I like the vertical format as it suits what I believe you are trying to convey with your image here and focal matter of your subject.
However ... if I may be so bold ... wondering if perhaps you could have gone a bit deeper with your DOF to provide some additional clarity on the filaments?
A little ... a little is lost in translation, given the format you chose in my mind and although the anthers are in good focus, the focus is a bit soft on the filaments.
Or ... I don't know what I am talking about, lol.
Just kidding.
And since I am here (<--- more joking a bit) ... curious as to what your thoughts would be on a darker matte. Thinking ... er, typing out loud on my part. Just a thought.
