This photo seems a little too busy. I think there are too many subjects. the lake draws your eye away from the pathway and the pathway away from the lake. There are three trees in the frame which also adds to the confusion. I Think there actually three subjects in this photo. The tree in the foreground the lake in the background. In my opinion this would have been a much better frame if you had eliminated the lake and focused on the pathway. or eliminated the pathway and focused on the shoreline of the lake. I think you picked a great subject and i commend you for submiting it.

While I understand and agree with bgeek above, I think this is a lovely shot. I like the way that everywhere you look in this picture there is a possible subject. And the overall feeling is quiet and peaceful, and so I don't have any problem with "confusion". Just keep up the good work, maybe take multiple shots of the same theme, from different angles. You can't make all the people happy all the time.
