A very beautiful flower. That being said, I think that both
your light and depth of field are working against you
in this image. Your lighting is so bright that it has burnt
out the detail of the stamens and petals. Your lighting was
much better for your spring time 2 submission. I think that
your best lighting submission was your most recent; it was
a white flower (springtime 12). Check out the detail
of the stamens and petals of that image and compare it to
this image. The softer light was definately working in your
favor there. My suggestion, would be to avoid direct light
when photographing flowers, shoot at dusk or in a shaded location. Use a tripod and the self timer to avoid camera shake
and refer back to your image of the white flower. It was a very
solid image and could be used as a standard. Thanks for sharing.
What kind of flower is it anyway?
