Marvelous close up and the colors are tremendous. The greens in the background are a perfect backdrop for this cute little guy and the colors of the branch on which he is sitting add just the perfect touch. Nice capture.

I think your title says it, this is near perfect. The detail in the plumage is great and there's no blur whatsoever on the bird. I think there are two problems though. First, its eye is in darkness and with any animal we are always drawn to look at the eye first. Second, the blurred background looks a little artificial - did you blur afterwards in photoshop? It would be ok if the branch in the foreground on the right wasn't blurred I think, but because it's blurred while the other one's sharp it doesn't feel natural. Still a very good image though.

He looks like he's very young... Detail on the bird is excellent, and I like the composition... only negative for me is the blurred branch in front of him which interrupts my vision somewhat.
