It is a really nice flower photo Allen,the purple color is very nice as well.I cannot help as i do not know what kind of flower it is either.

Yes it brakes up the blues and is nice but i think all blue is best.

Looks like a kind of thistle to me... does it grow near the ocean? Beautiful, and you have brought out the color wonderfully. Nice and sharp also.
