I think this is a tick. Tried to identify it but no exact matchs. Took off when I turned my head, and I had to check my cloths to make sure it wasn't on me! lol. Thanks to all who view and comment on the photo! It is very much appreciated and I do read all comments! allen

Nice rosebud and pretty shot. It always reminds me of Orson Wells and his Citizen Kane, the first word that he says is "rosebud".

Very interesting rosebud. Looks like it came from outer space. And the insect really adds to the composition. Very nice work!

It resembles a wood tick some, but I don't think it's a tick; not if it flew off. Ticks move about with their legs and their heads are smaller and they have biting apparatus. I do love the lovely rose bud.
