Lorelei, I never know there was a flower by that name. That's what my grandfather use to call me... Very pretty flower and a great shot by you. :)

I know one Lorelei from a German fary-tale, a pretty girl, but I didn't know there was a flower by that name. Now I see why that sweet girl was named Lorelei. Very colorful i vivid sight.

One legend is that Lorelei, a beautiful young maidenin Germany, committed suicide because of an unfaithful lover. She jumped from the steep rock into the Rhine River, thus killing herself. She then became a siren, luring shipmen to their fates with her hypnotizing voice. The echoing heard today is said to be Lorelei.

These are SO pretty! I like the general scene as well because all the stages of the blossom from a tight little green bud through the petals having dropped are showing. Very, very nice!
