Well I htink you've managed to pull it off for the most part. The only thing that would give it away is the wet jeans just above the boots. Nevertheless a wonderful compostion and a warm thank you to your wife for being such a good sport. And I would agree with Eubeen, I think a pair of dry boots isn't too much to ask for...is it?

How long was the shuttertime, 'cause methinks you can create more smoke looking water if you use a long shutter, between the 30 and 60 sec.

I too, think you succeeded in your goal, Garrett! I especially like the view at the top of the image, that looks like smoke/fog clinging to the rocks! Aside from the very cool effect of smoke to the water, I really like all the textures in the surrounding rocks and moss! Wonderful contrasting colours and atmosphere! And, I also love her expression! Looking forward to more like this :)

Funny, I was just thinking after seeing the first seal photo, you should throw in a few of the surrounding areas. I like the "smoke" effects and perspective creating lines of the shoreline. Please thank Charlene, she was a good sport. Fun "caught in the tide" expression. I think you achieved your goal. Hope you do more!
