While most of the country is freezing, it has been a very mild winter in So Cal. Our Pied Billed Grebes are already raising chicks. This mother grebe caught this humongous fish (which they eat whole by the way). I did not realize that it was for one of her chicks. See my second post.

I love this one even more it such a great close up and again so interesting to look at with as always outstanding detsil and loveky light and colours too.Inalso like the soft look,to the water and reflections and gentle ripples too.

This is a magnificent shot Garrett!!! That is a sizeable fish that she caught and I'm amazed that the chick is able to swallow it. Nice and sharp and love the rippled reflections. Excellent capture!!!
