I see the mid section of a very dangerous slithering creature. I bet the thorns are poisonous. I hope we don't have any of them over here. LOL. Excellent, colorful close up, Oliver. This must be a partially fractalized creature.

lovely cracks, they give the branch a sense of having been around! And it works very well with the overall idea of thorns, although the thorns look untouched. :)

What a fantastic Macro creation! Not only do those thorns look deadly, but I see where the old ones have broken off, I just hope it didn't hurt anyone. You've even been able to show the tiny web. Very lovely even tho it's a bit scary.Verena
