This was taken out at the nature preserve outside the city. As I have said before I go to the place as much as I can. Pretty sure this is a Snapping Turtle..think that is only kind of turtle in this pond..hope you enjoy!

Hi Gerry. Good shot, and great reflection. Don't think it's a snapper, though. They have more of a humpback, and a very
prononced jaw. Not that it matters. Nice work.

very nice, It reminds me of fishing with my grandpa at his cabin. I dont think it is a snapper though. How did you get so close? I always scare them off..

Excellent shot. Love the reflection of this guy. I don't think he's a snapping turtle, as they are nasty & mean looking - you'd stay away from their jaw! He looks happy and enjoying the sun. Really nice capture. I voted and gave him a ten :*>

What a wonderful happenstance that turtle was crossing the log when you saw him, but then he might have been crossing for very long time. I wonder if he ever sees himself in the water and wonders who that turtle might be.
