This shot was taken about a month back out at Nature Preserve. The bush at this Nature Preserve is all decidious trees but some of it borders on residential area where the residents have planted some pine trees. I used my Nikon D50 camera with Tamron 70-300 lens set at 300mm. Shutter at 1/1000 aperture f/5.6 and ISO 400.

raise your fstop just a tad, Gerry. While this is great, you've got some needles and some snow that are oof because of your dof. Also would have lowered the perspective just a tad to get the needles on the bottom in. Again stong composition outweighs minor dof issues. Very nice photo, Gerry.

oh that snow is lovely and fluffy!! boo hoo i wish he had some, i so wanted to go take shots, but it only snowed while i was at work really, and then it rained and it all disappeared!! i doubt we will get any more this year! Very nice macro!
