This is a capture of the Mother Great Horned Owl..same bird from posting a week back. She is out of nest as her babies are getting bigger. She is in a tree about 20 yards from nest...about 40-50 ft up. I have cropped this image and edited it some. Taken with Nikon D50 fitted with Tamron 70-300 lens set at 250mm. Shutter at 1/640 aperture at F/5.6 and ISO 800.

Look at those eyes! You couldn't get closer than that without spooking her, I bet. Neat post of her sitting on that tree branch. Nice find, Gerry.
