This is a shot of an immature Great Egret. This bird was hanging around pond at Nature Preserve awhile back...mainly because water level was down and prey was easy pickings for it. This is a young Egret and did not seem to be bothered by my presence...

super shot of this beautiful egret bird Gerry - he seems to be a little shy!

Gorgeous capture. I like this one better than the other because of the background. I like skies just fine, but there's something about this one that needs that darker background. Sweet composition and the look you caught is excellent!

Wonderful post, Gerry. Couldn't ask for a closer, more clear shot than this.

Life's around said Phil the 35 millimetre cameraman. I recently went to the doctors, and said I've got icon fever, but he told me there was no cure for the disease.

Such a beautiful bird! I had this in voting - a 10 for me, and it's also in my favorites. Great capture.
