I find things like this interesting as you have life abounding on something that is decaying. I think it also gives a nice contrast in color...

it is nice contrasts, decaying wood with lots of detail and texture, and yes amazing how that moss can grow on it and still look so lush and green!

The decaying nourishes the living and it's shown in this post. To die is to give life to another. Sounds pretty deep for such a shallow mind as I have. Great detail as always.

Great shot Gerry. The contrast is wonderful. I took a similiar shot the other day at Ojibway but once again it's not nearly as good as this.
