This is a capture of a Milkweed seed that has been blown from seed pod by the wind and has landed on this stuble but eventually will make it to ground and be covered over with some dirt and hopefully germinate and a new plant will emerge in Spring...As it sits here right now has an intricate beauty to it.

Lovely capture of the Milkweed seed. You are so good with the intricate workings of the plant life. Very nice post, Gerry.

The texture in this one is really great...along with the colors as well.

To see beauty in such small things is a gift - you have it and then you pass these beauties on to us to enjoy.
Fine work :)

I tried to caputure these, but did not as well as you have Gerry. It looks like this one is covered with dew as well. Nice deep colors.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Hi Gerry
Looks like a decayed, and dried out subject waiting for death. However all is not what it seems, and the circle of life is in renewal again.
Well done on a unusual observation. :d

What an amazing macro! I love the tiny dew droplets. Did you know my favorite butterflies love milkweed? I found some pods and put them in my yard in hopes they will sprout and attract the monarchs next year.
