As I was walking through meadow the other morning this leaf seem to be shouting out to me "take my picture"...as the early morning sun backlit it perfectly..
Saw this in the new images gallery and had to go and view it full size. What a lovley photo! The light is perfect and so is the background. Makes a wonderful DT and goes to my favs. Thank´s for sharing!
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

What a sweet simple "Gem" you've posted here Gerry. Marvelous subdued palette of color behind the leaf that compliments it perfectly. As for the composition I would have to say, "I like the angle of the dangle" A word of caution my friend ... Don't let PatAndre know you hear leaves talking to you ... I got the dickens for having conversations with my birds. :)
I saw one the other day and it said: "Leave me alone, so I did." I knew it was probably a leaf on the fly. Should have taken the photo, but it wouldn't have been near as lovely as this. Good eye to see this but better ear to listen. Good one Gerry.
I like this back-lit look. I think it really does a lot to make the color of leaves, or in this case a leaf, stand out. I try for these when I am out listening to their rustled cry, but can't always get what I can see with my eyes..you did a very nice job with this one, and it wlll make a cluttered desktop look newly scrubbed with its simple and beautiful lines.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
