For two mornings I have been trying to capture these seed pods and yesterday got what I wanted. Slight little breeze would put them out of focus. Yesterday morning it was relatively calm..they are so delicate and appear to be suspended in mid air..

Gerry, I agree with you, even a little breeze make the conditions difficult while making a macro. With your patience you've achieved a wonderful result. Well done. Regards, Cornelius

I imagine you see a lot more on an outing than most people. This closeup reflects that.

I think maybe finding the perfect time for this shot would be harder than finding the big buck. Either way, both take a lot of patience. You appear to be overflowing with it. I'm glad you're not on Button's trail. Great photo and your patience paid off. Very good Gerry.

I love the color of the background, and you did a great job getting those seed pods to sit still for you. Nice macro, Gerry.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Amazing macro. I know how difficult it is to get a shot like this because they don't hold still for long! Very nice job

You have such a good eye for nature shots Gerry. This is great! Glad the morning was calmer so you capture this shot. Thanks for sharing.
