Each morning when I go out to Nature Preserve for walks, lately, I notice the bush is becoming greener with new growth of vegetation. This is an example of this. I like the green of these Ferns in contrast with the brown leaves that have been on ground all Winter. I must explain something about this picture. I did not take this photo. I have a friend...named Lita...she is a 12 year old neighbor girl who is in love with my dog Hanna. She comes out to Nature Preserve with me and Hanna when she has days off from school. She came out yesterday and I lent her my Sony point and shoot digital camera and she took lots of pictures on our walk. This is one picture she took...she does have talent. She does not know that I have posted this yet...but sure she will be happy when she sees this.

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced. COME ON YOU GREENS, UP THE ARGYLE.....

That green really stands out. Beautiful work. The shot is simple, but yet elegant. (Like all your other shots.)

You my Caedes friends post the most wonderful images out here. Full of beauty, life and gorgeous colors. For that, you have my heartfelt 'thanks'. I love 'browsing them' and wish there was more time to personally comment on every one of them.

I like the photo and tell Lita she did a great job. Of course she has a great teacher who is loaded with talent and patience. Patience being the key. Thanks for sharing Gerry. Aren't the young great?

I love spring greens, all fresh and new. I have to get my butt over to the sanctuary one day too. Very pretty young ferns, Gerry. Did you happen to see any fiddle heads too?

I just love ferns, and it began around the age of your young friend. You're a generous man to give of your time, talent and equipment to a younger person. A mentor is a wonderful thing to be. Looks like she's a quick study with a lot of native ability and the steady hand of the young.

Fiddleheads is what I have here right now...and most of them go into the frying pan.

My congrats to your new companion.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

I saw this in the Voting Booth and gave it a high score. I really like the way the ferns just stick out from the leaf covered ground. Very nice compostion Gerry.
