This is a female Red Winged Blackbird who is nesting in reeds along the pond bank in Nature Preserve...I have been looking along bank on and off for a week or so for just this nesting. Last Spring there was a couple of nesting Red Winged Blackbirds here...As I wandered down to bank she flew out of her nest and landed on reeds...I took a bunch of shots of her and a couple of her nest which is well hidden in reeds...and quickly left her to go about her businees. While I was down there I kept expecting her mate to buzz my head but did not see him..

I would not have guessed this was a Red Winged Blackbird. The males look like one. You sure are a determined fellow Gerry. That's most likely why you are so good at this. Another excellent post.
