It's such a strange little critter...I love how they look when they are flying, but oh wow, upclose and personal they sure aren't all that pretty eh?!! Altho I do love that you were even able to get this much of a closeup of it. But I have to say you got a most fantastic photo of it!! Gorgeous, how the lines on the wings show up, but wow, he's an ugly sorta guy!!You really know how to take these photos Gerry!V

Cherish all your happy moments: they make a fine cushion for any age.
I don't know how you get them this amazingly sharp Gerry, with just the right amount of reflection in the eye too. Love that green background - there's a bit of noise top right but it adds texture so doesn't interfere. Terrific macro.
