This was taken just south of the Oceanside Marina. I'm pretty sure the guy is a Marine, and he and his girlfriend were very affectionate. The title comes from a Bright Eyes song called At the Bottom of Everything. The line goes "Death will give us back to God, just like the setting sun is returned to the lonesome ocean." I suppose the action in the image mirrors this line litterally as well as metaphorically, and if I was more artistically inclined I might claim to have done it on purpose, but I just got lucky.

Beautiful & tranquil are the feelings I get from this image. Composed so well. The sun going down is lovely-perfectly caught. The placement of the couple adds fun to this scene. Splendid action with the waves and colors are beauty to the eye. I think everyone 'got lucky' with this photo!

"Lucky" I would have to say is an understatement. A stunning capture of mother nature and human nature as one. It doesn't get any better than that. A picture is worth a thousand words. This image says it all, which in my opinion is what life is all about. ;) Thanks for sharing, absolutely spectacular.
