I love how this fungi blends in with the tree just had to photo it.If you enlarge you can see stick droplets hanging from it.In years gone by the farmers would use this fungi as a sharpener for cutting tools.

Good capture of the fungus Roger. Nice details, like the gooey sap dripping from it, and textures in the decaying wood of the tree. I like the opening giving a view of the field and fence in the background. Good lighting and colour in your photo; and thanks for the info on these organic whetstones.
